  June 19, 2018 - Deep purple upon initial inspection, although there is also a decided reddish cast. Rich aromas of black and red plums, Morello cherries, lavender, candied rhubarb, pen ink, a little volatile acidity poking up through the fruit. Smooth textured and more complex than expected: crunchy cherries and plums of both colours, a purple popsicle including the stick. Medium finish. The alcohol is robust at 14.5 but I find it rather well-concealed. Tasty enough, this.
