July 30, 2018 - Tasted at the winery. Clean and very pale in color. Lower aromatics but good fruit on the palate with lemon notes. 86 points.

7/30/18, 1:57 PM - Your notes on Michigan wines bear out my feeling that all these regional vintners (NY, PA, VA, NC) seem to be able to make a decent white but fail badly with reds. The best red grapes just don't do well in those climates and soils.

8/6/18, 10:33 AM - Whites certainly do better than Reds in Michigan but there are some very good reds being made in Southwest Michigan. Wyncroft makes excellent Pinot Noir, Cabernet and Merlot. I am biased though since I own a Pinot Noir vineyard in Southwest Michigan. Nonetheless, Southwest Michigan has a long way to go but the growth in vineyard acreage and number of producers has really taken off.
