Community Tasting Note

August 25, 2008 - Bought on release. ½ bottle, splash decant, at cellar temperature. Very intense nose of petroleum, raspberry and smoke. On the palate, nice balance with moderate fruit and strong tannins. Can taste the granite-like a light Cote Rotie. Over the next hour, the nose mellows somewhat, but the palate integrates. Becomes very smooth and long for a village wine. Excellent value and highly recommended. Alas my only bottle.
