  April 12, 2020 - Wow - just wow. Amazing wine. Never had anything like it. A dessert unto itself for sure. Don't need to have it with anything else - just an unbelievable pleasure. Nose is unreal - apricot. Apricot flavors, and pit - length, after flavor of saffron. Long finish.

  12/5/22, 4:50 PM - Thanks Remy - this was my 1st Rieussec, and in fact my first Sauternes tasting! I've had several others since then and this one still stands in my memory - just marvelous (I now have 21 bottles of this in my cellar to enjoy for the next fifty years or so...). I haven't had a chance to try the '09, but I will look for it! I had the '01 recently, and it was phenomenal. Cheers and thanks for the comment!

  12/6/22, 6:16 PM - Brilliant, I think you're totally correct to see these as to enjoy over the next 50 years... exactly my thinking for 2009 Rieussec! I'd love to try some of the 2001s but haven't had a chance yet. Oldest was 1976 Climens which was still so fresh. It's a shame Sauternes isn't more popular as it deserves, but I guess that helps keep the price down for me!
