January 13, 2021 - Dark purple, good clarity. A somewhat muddled nose of slightly stemmy fruit and a touch of smokiness. On the palate, pleasantly elegant, fruit to the fore, fine tannins - but in the finish alcoholic takes centre stage. This is not coming together for me tonight at all - it seems all over the places. Maybe it needs a few more years. 14%, cork.

1/14/21, 3:27 PM - After 24 hours, the remaining half bottle took on some more coherence. There is little or no nose, and the fruit seems a bit tired, but there is some suggestion of kirsch coming through, which is pleasant. I struggle to understand the price tag of this bottle, at this age anyway.
