April 22, 2021 - Pescaja, Tuké, Nebbiolo, Terre di Alfieri DOC, 2019: Quite a treat to see more kosher wines from this producer whose Arneis 2019 is one of my favorite white wines. It is also one of less than a handful of quality Italian Nebbiolo available in kosher. Dark ruby toward purple, with on the nose ripe black cherries and black currants and hints of wet dirt, roasted herbs, and vanilla. Medium to full-bodied, good intensity with on the palate fleshy black cherries, black plums, cassis, some tobacco and herbs upfront and on the mid-palate, along with hints of licorice, rich earthy minerals, medium-plus acidity with some earthy/umami notes, soy sauce and roasted portobello with rich tannins on a long and generous finish. Quite a delicious wine! 14.5% Abv. Drink 2024-2031. 91+
