July 9, 2021 - Really modern iteration of Barolo. Low acid, thick, thick, thick tannins. Plush and opulent fruit. Extreme chocolate character. It felt slightly dull with food (at first, due to the perceived lack of acid, but with air (and without food) the thick tannic nature of the wine revealed itself, no doubt due to the low acid nature of the wine. Probably a little opaque, but it didn’t feel two dimensional. In the end, a wine that while modern, completely expresses
    Barolo.
