July 22, 2021 - 1995 Clos de La Roche - no decanting. Filigree, fresh nose with a delicate and fine scent of cherries, red berry fruits as well as floral hints. The age shows in a slightly rusty iron note - which intensifies with increasing aeration. On the palate, fine substance, with a very good medium+ acidity, completely melted tannins and a very fine fruit with hints of cherry pits, a touch of white pepper and earthy-spicy hints. Strikingly beautiful harmony - based on a nice structure/firmness on the palate, a nice freshness and the fine fruit. Medium length. For scores >= 95 points it lacks a little depth and length. As it reduces its fruit quite quickly in the glass, it is advisable to slowly drink down any leftovers in the cellar. 93 points 2021-2025
