September 17, 2021 - Popped, and had it breathed in bottle for at least an hour before serving. A rustic, animal-type nose emerged from the glass, amidst scents of dark-red cherries & sandalwood/cedar. Blinded, it didn't seem apparent that this hailed from Burgundy. Onto the palate, this showed rather magnificently qualitatively, definitely one of power in a velvet glove, that transcends intensity in a rather weightless manner. Light, agile, satiny yet packed full of coiled intensity. More dark-red cherries & meat flavours abound, held together in almost aristocratic structure. This actually tightened up with more air and got a bit more "stern/over-serious", that was almost comparable when tasted beside a '04 LMHB 😂. In any case, will be interesting to see how this will turn out with more years of cellar-age...
