May 1, 2021 - Nose: Chave is Chave, and this is all of the things I love about Chave. The nose is so deep and perfumed with an animalistic side filled with black cherries, roasted meats, raspberries, earth tones, tobacco, leather, black pepper, crushed rocks, and violets.

Taste: The feel is Full bodied with tart, medium+ acidity and refined, medium+ tannins. There is so much depth and class to the feel that you almost don’t realize how much structure is still there. There is a deftness to the tones of black cherries, raspberries, roasted meats, leather, tobacco, black pepper, crushed rocks, and violets.

Overall: This is is just amazing. There is a ton of life left in it and yet it is really in a zone right now. This is a truly special wine.
