November 10, 2021 - Nearly 3.5 years after the prior: savory dark fruit, with a bare suggestion of Balsamic. Elegant, with lovely acidity. Very enjoyable over three nights

11/11/21, 9:29 PM - Hope you are well. I really appreciate the timely note. I was thinking of serving this in a wine tasting experience fundraiser for Wounded Warrior Project through work, and your note confirmed it would be a good choice to serve blind, especially for those who need a little old world exposure.
Cheers!

11/11/21, 10:09 PM - Sounds like a worthy event — and this would be a lovely wine for old world exposure. And yet it’s really a “food wine” (with lovely acidity) — and so in a general tasting, especially if surrounded by other more “dramatic” New World creatures, I’d hope it doesn’t become lost? — Jake

11/12/21, 8:00 AM - Good points all around. The tasting will have food over an afternoon. I am strictly an old world drinker (who loves the acidity!), and this wine will be the first or second served in the red lineup (after 5 whites) to help it not get lost. The tasting is organized where people taste and silently fill out a wine journal that I provide. After they complete tasting notes we discuss each wine. It drags things out but helps a little with the tasting fatigue.
Thanks again for confirming this as a great option. Looking forward to sharing others feedback on this wine.
Cheers and have a great weekend.
