November 16, 2021 - by this stage of the night the memory was fading and it was about to be destroyed by Jezza and his bloody whiskies. And i have always had a love hate relationship with St Henri. Sometimes it impresses and sometimes it doesn't. But for value for money and ability to age compared to other overpriced Penfold siblings, its a cogent bargain. i have struggled with some 05 barossa but this was superb. still purple and sweet and lovely medium to full bodied palate with trademark penfolds layered fruit and structure. A little too much acid and tannin for me but only because it needed more ageing. Lovely drop.
