December 12, 2021 - A blend of equal parts white Grenache, Macabeu and Pedro Ximenez. Onion colored with orange tints. Beer yeast, brioche, faint tastes of dried orange, dried apple, honey, chamomile, dried herbs, chalk. Bitter finale. Strong phenolic structure, oxidized. Still needs air to unfold, but even with an hour-long chilled decant not entirely forthcoming. Drank two bottles on separate occasions with same experience. Priced high by comparison to competing wines from Loire, Jura, Sardinia, Dolemites, etc. I would prefer to buy a Meursault at this price.
