  March 9, 2009 - Very dark purple with a red rim; Creme de cassis aromas and flavors with a touch of oaky spiciness and a stunningly long finish. Very balanced with pure fruit and a wonderful velvety texture. This tasted very similar to the 1997 and was seriously good wine. Decanted about 30 minutes prior to dinner with improvement for the next two hours. Drink or hold.
