April 22, 2022 - Strangely brilliant... deep amber colour (as befits its age), and immediately unusual on the nose, Sherry-esque but with dirty raw mushroom and a variety of other completely ineffable notes. Lactic on the palate, with some bruised apple, but also plenty of tangy energy, like a lemon/lime fizzy chew bar. Really, really long finish - one of the most persistent wines I've ever tasted, and again lactic, and extremely savoury. Don't think this was flawed or at all dead, but I shan't risk leaving my other bottle much longer.
