Community Tasting Note

  • kostaslonis Likes this wine:

May 7, 2022 - Brought to drink at Oinoscent during service
The bottle was decanted at 18:50, tasted at 19:20
The wine shows pale hazy red cherry color
In the nose, the wine shows fully developed profile, dried red cherry, red currant, sous bois, earthy, dried herbs, cigar box, sweet spices, cinnamon, bacon/cured meat after a bit of time.
In the palate, the wine looks fully developed, coffee, chocolate notes, sweet spices, dried red cherries, lean body, a touch hot, dissolved tannins, a few dried herbs, medium finish
It seems that decanting its not really needed.
I don't think it would benefit from further ageing.
