August 15, 2022 - Stellar location, superb fruit, small production. This 2016 Pinot Noir from Durell Vineyard (three converging AVAs) is exuberant. Medium body, sweet perfume, high-toned fruit (blackberry, cherry, plum, strawberry), freshness, balance, subtle spice -- it's all here. The Dunstan should continue to exceed expectations for several more years, at least. These folks also make Pinot Noir from the Chehalem Mountains in the Willamette Valley. Recommended.
