Fresh crack, may need some O2 to really open up

Nose/Floral - bright fruit and oak, golden delicious apple
Sweet - maple, cocoa, honey, butterscotch, caramel
Nutty - almond
Spicy - some cinnamon
Earthy - tobacco, herbal and anise. Fairly savory
Smoky - no
Woody - bright astringent oak
Fruit - more on the nose. But bright apple
Color - dark copper
Palate - astringency up front, big presence, lot of heat
Finish - lingers without being overbearing
Value - solid QPR, priced appropriately
Overall - who doesn’t love cask strength BT. After opening up it becomes less overtly tannic and more of a caramel sweet bomb
Beer
Anyone who knows me knows that I have VERY strong feelings about the Red Sox, Fenway Park, and the city of Boston in general. Despite all that, I had some solid expectations for this brew—but it didn't quite hit those notes. The nose provided all the flavors of a Boston creme donut, but the sip immediately hit with notes of cinnamon, which doesn't quite match up. Nice cacao and vanilla, sure, but the overall effect was a mild wheatwine that just didn't have enough oomph. Good, but I wanted more.
Beer
Joined some friends to watch the end of the Masters, and decided it was a good time to share this brew. The nose certainly lets you know that there's a solid amount of rye in the malt, but don't get it twisted: this is a juicy, POG-forward beer from top to bottom. I got a huge amount of orange, with a touch more pineapple present when it's a bit cooler. And the lingering vanilla on the finish helps smooth out the whole thing. One of the better Terreux offerings in quite some time!
Beer
It's been quite some time since I've been so excited about a Bruery beer based on prior history, but given the pedigree of American Anthem, how could I help myself? I was pleased to find that the peach character plays a huge role in this beer, coming out on the initial sip and lingering long through the finish. The cinnamon and vanilla are both present but satisfactorily restrained, which is a plus, but the stout character doesn't quite pop. It's no American Anthem, but it is awfully delightful!
Beer
I was rather looking forward to trying this once I heard about the combination of hibiscus and cherry, and I can't say that it didn't deliver to my expectations. The first sip is, unsurprisingly, very tart, with a nice floral note to follow. The cherry gets a little bit buried in the mix, and the salt also has a pretty surprisingly strong presence, but I would imagine that, with a little time for some of the acidity to mellow out, this will round out pretty nicely.
Beer
I had only drank Dream Bar once, as a taster at The Bruery around its release, but even without a great memory of its forebear, I knew instantly that Dreamception was a wildly different beast. About the sweetest Bruery beer I've had in a very long time, this thing is thick and rich, a complete coconut bomb that is in no way ashamed of what it is. The finish is smooth with vanilla and marshmallow, and there's even a dash of macadamia detectable after the swallow, but this is straight-up dessert in a bottle.

Tried two full bottles. Both not good. Lack freshness and have a bitter finish. Not only my opinion but those of several other fellow aficionados of this wine. Sadly very disappointing, particularly on the freshness front.

Compared with the Tio Pepe en Rama 2024 and Deliciosa L230892. This bottle has been open 2 weeks.
C: v light gold and the palest of the three.
N: full, fresh, floral,
T: light body, rounded, yeasty, good fruit, long v dry finish but still has bitter finish.
Overall, nuked by the deliciously complex T P.

Purchased from the Bodega during a trip to Jerez, just as it was released.

A nice sense of flor and really quite refined for an ‘en rama’ release. This almost seems to be reticent and within itself a little bit. Still, it’s sherry and it’s great, a beautiful light gold in the glass and refreshing and uplifting on the palate.

A wonderful couple of days at the Horse Fair and some good sherry drank over the last couple of weeks in Andalusia. La Ina Fino, only €7.50 a bottle ( ridiculous! ) has been the standout value wine for me. Will have to see where I can source it from in the UK!

Up against La Gitana en Rama 2024 and Deliciosa L230892.
C: med gold and the deepest of the three. The LG the lightest.
N: full, fresh, v ripe and rounded, camomile, earthy notes, ripe fruit, long soft finish, good fruit,
Overall, incredibly ripe and fruity yet elegant. Best of the en Ramas yet although it is a little unorthodox.

2024 release not a vintage wine
Drank this over a few nights , it starts off quite salty and lean but moves on to brown apple and butterscotch with toasted almonds. Very long and complex. Great wine.
Sake
This was very tasty and good moderate character. Don't have detailed notes.
"The nose on this famous sake in Japan is a cool collection of melon, berries, green apple, cut grasses, spring onion, pear, and bright fruit aromas. A light, crisp, and bright jump into a new style of sake that plays with an elevated acidity field that jumps out of the glass. Pitched to wine drinkers, this sake is very expressive with lots of shibumi and acidity elements that drink lively, crisp, and spritzy. Look for layers of flavors such as Asian pear, peach, young melon, persimmon, green apple, and basically young fruit tones that pop on a tantalizing acidity play that says, "Hola!" This is a legendary sake for good and zesty reasons. It’s hard to get in Japan, so don’t miss a brew that takes umami to new and vivid expressions. Canned 1/2024; best before 01 November 2024; 5,5% alcohol. Medium to full bodied, dry and rather robust, showing subtle bread/malt with firm hoppy bitterness and slightly austere finish. A solid red IPA. Nice to quaff after the sauna.

First time putting wine on tap immediately after kegging with no bulk aging. Wine was filtered. Maybe a hint of bottle shock, though line was left with water for about 2 months while making new batch, actually ran out before had new kit.

Tasted at winery on tour with Tim Syrad Wine Tours.

The 2024 vintage has only been in stainless steel tanks for two weeks and this tasting sample was poured by winemaker Denise from the tank.

At this stage I thought it would be horrible, but it was surprisingly pleasant, though nothing like a finished product would be.

Medium plum and cloudy.. But bright and fresh in the glass. Tasting more like a fruit drink at this stage. Interesting experience.

Complex for a white. Roussanne adds a layer of depth the Viognier needs and it is rounded out by the Marsanne. Pineapple and tropical fruits. Definitely chill well and leave on ice for a delightful Spring beverage.

Yup, that bad, a tart acidic mess front to back and then some..
11.9% alcohol and pale white in color, disgusting really.
I’m not sure if I’d even consider cooking with this swill.
Update, it worked ok for cooking.
