Restaurant wine buy, decanted and consumed over 2-1/2 hours…Some red and blue fruits to open, slightly soft tannins, but not oaky. Shows some restraint and retains a nice acid pop. Easy drinker with some style. Great with red meat, but not at all heavy.

Structured delivering blackberry, dark cherry and tobacco. Medium bodied, medium to high acidity and firm but well integrated tannins. Right now, it is tight and a little shut. However, it is harmoniously balanced. Finish is average in length. Don’t get me wrong, it is a good wine but I don’t get the usually reliable WS at 95 points. I have another bottle and will re-assessed in a year or two. NI:3, FI:21, FC:8, B:4, L:3

I agree with the prior review that this is not ready to drink, but it is going to be great in 10 years with fantastic QPR. Very complex with dark fruit in front giving way to chocolate, leather, and sage with a long satin finish.

Slow-oxed for an hour then quick double decant b4 leaving for COV Minneapolis and our big group dinner. I only bought these 3 from Bruno Clavelier long ago & now wish I'd bought more as this is a top tier producer still running a little below the radar & its pedigree. Like many 06's this is drinking great w/ air and in a good Burg glass! The nose hits w/ an ample range of; spice, rose petal & damp forest floor complimented by lush yet lifted; raspberry, spice, mineral & more damp forest floor on the palate. Delivers that textbook suave elegant Chambolle mouthfeel I love! Such a beautiful wine! Delighted to have one more that I'll wait for its 20th in 2026. Great now though!

Great! Enjoyed this on Memorial Day. Caramel, vanilla, black berries tastes that really come out by the aging in the Rum Barrels. Smooth finish and refreshing. Perfect color and windows.

All of the citrus; lemon, lime, calamansi, but lemon ginger forward on the nose, very fresh! More lemony than even lemons, this is really citrus forward, my mouth is salivating just waiting to taste the wine. On the palate, it’s like laser precision, the acidity is absolutely mouth watering, minerality through the roof. Very balanced, and I’m not sure you can find a better new world Chardonnay to pair with food. Delicious!

Upon opening a cabbagey/strong paint smell with some strange stuff going on: corked? Very, very ripe smells, a bit decayed. Bruised fruit. Very bruised. Oxidised seemingly. though the colour is deep dark red and the wine still sweet(ish). Chemically scents. Stagnant wet rags and mouldy prunes. Sherry vinegar wuthout the acid. I think this is corked, but there might be something under this depending on how it behaves over the next day - it may be fatally corked it may blow off...... I'll re-stopper this and revisit tomorrow for curiosity but this appears to be corked beyond redemption judging from this.

This is a wine where I’m glad that I bought a case, because it has shown some interesting evolution during the time I’ve owned it.

Focused on the palate with great acidity - I haven’t had that many vintages of Kelley’s Chardonnays, but this certainly feels like one that could age, much more so (at least IMO) than her 2019 version of this wine. I think I also like this better than the Dux, but need to really sit down with them side-by-side before I conclude that definitively.

But at the end of the day, this is another very nice Oregon Chardonnay 👍

Opened a bottle to see. Opened up beautifully with some oxygen after about 20 minutes. Floral on the nose, punchy on the tongue, with a smooth finish. Will get better with a year or two, but a good drinking wine already.

One hour decant. Deep ruby red color. Aromas of earthy dark berries with notes of smoked meat and toasted herbs. Medium bodied palate with dark fruit, hints of baking spice with savory and saline notes. Tannins are somewhat angular and a pop of acid leads to a long finish.

At Hein Post courtesy Ger van Dam.
As a high-end Burgundy rookie, for me this was the star of the evening, pretty close though to Ruchottes-Chambertin of the same house and Trapet Chambertin, all 2015. What a beautiful evening!

Deep purple, gradually becomes very aromatic with air, revealing blackberry fruit, tapenade, garrigue, hint of lavender. Rich yet tart, with the ripe Grenache cushioned in a sturdy frame of tannins and minerality. Wonderful even now but at age 15, this will be spectacular! 93 today, 97-98 at peak.

This is really good, nice depth and black fruit intensity. Generous, full bodied fruit forward style. The fruit easily carries the structure, which is quite refined for a Tuscan wine. Good length, straightforward. Drinking now, will evolve nicely over the next decade.

Day 1: One of the more interesting wines of the year so far. Herbal along with green olives, white pepper, spices, blue fruits, dust and tar. Super complex wine with a super long finish. Outstanding and bringing to an event tonight. 94+ points

Nice. Initially has some very typical fresh rose aromatics (gentle bubblegum, some Sauv Blanc-y character), but the longer the wine is open, the drier and more focused it becomes on the surprisingly fleshy, textured midpalate and the dry finish. Easy. These age though, and if I had more storage space, I'd set a half case aside then check back in two years from now.

This is light red in colour. Almost translucent. Drop dead gorgeous nose of rose water, rose petals, cherry, very expressive and perfumed. Touch of rhubarb and fresh figs. With time in the glass, this mellows into something slightly more menthol but still very elegant and ethereal. Still lots of fruit on the palate. Dark cherries and a touch of strawberry. Some balsamic on the finish.
Touch spicy on the palate.
Super elegant and no heavy tannins anyway to be found. Label says 14.5%. I don’t get a big alcohol hit. Should age well, but when it’s this delicious why wait?

Probably on its way down, but still ok.

Some plum, blueberry, maybe cassis, with oak / vanilla flavor. Nose has spice, tobacco, and some black fruit.

Took~15 min to open up, but still good. Got at $29 and for that it’s a good value.
