Deep purple – gorgeous, complex nose: ripe fruit, minerals, and spice. Finish falls a bit short, but otherwise an excellent summer grill wine for the next 4 to 5 years. (88)

excellent mature wine. Was really surprised by this. Excellent depth and complexity with nice mature aromas. almost Bordeaux like with some mourvedre funk. purchased for $28 from vendome. wish it wasnt the last bottle.

Cherry on the top of the nose, but when I dug in I got a nasty aroma of vomit and body odor. Weak structure even though it was soft and easy going down. Way too much acidity - all out of balance and disjointed. Weak effort.

Massive but with easy going go fruit.

The haut salettes rouge, no mourvedre. And frsh and fun. Fruit soft tannins but with lots of cherry.

Smokey and spicy on the nose. And hey, at $30 or so... palate holds true. Good stuff.

Odd, this bottle seemed tighter and took longer to open up. Maybe Mouvedre can close down?

The Haut, which is their natural wine side. And a bit more calmed down before but still a little too funky for me. Works at $20 or so.

The Haut Salettes actually. Well, they know how to charm mourvedre. Pretty on the nose, robust on the palate. Powerful stuff.

Darn this is amazing Bandol Rouge. So Aromatic and dense, so good right now. Apparently they skipped either '18 or '19 because they were too brooding and released this vintage instead.

Clear, medium intense ruby core with thin watery rim, developing

Nose is clean, medium intense aromas of violets, blackberry, black olives? Seemed quite closed at the moment, developing

Palate is dry, medium acidty, meduim ripe tannins, %, body and flavour intensity with aromas of blackberry, pepper, liquorice root, violets, coffee, medium(+) finish

Well balanced and quite complex palate, finish is well balanced with both secondary and primary aromas, quite intens and well concentrated. Drink now and next 5 years, very good quality 88-89p

All the vines are head trained. and then rocks that hold the heat. A touch of raspberry to start things off, and then loads of blackberry fruit to it. "Mourvedre needs its feet in the water and its head towards the sun." Dark and mysterious on the palate. Rather darn dense to it. They are releasing the '20 before the '18 because the '18 is such a darn beast to it. Rather darn tasty wine here.

A private lunch (Restaurant Daalder, Amsterdam, NL): Silky and polished style, beautifully managed ripe tannins, velvety and fresh, lovely purity and precision, well integrated oak, red berries and cherries and spices, hint of cassis, harmonious, very good length. Already lovely, and has the balance to last until 2030 with ease.

80% Mourvedre is joined by 15% Grenache and 5% Carignan in this perfect pairing with cold weather and rustic stews. This wine is in a great place right now, showcasing the meaty, hearty Mourvedre - dark fruits, game meat, garrigue, touches of smoke and a faint red fruit spice that I presume comes from the Grenache. A nice wine and worth finding. This 2010, if properly stored is probably at its peak, no need to hold.

Certified organic. Black spicy fruit. Power packed on the nose. Extremely tight on the palate. And kinda locked down.
White
The haut salettes. And lovely and lively as it does.
White
Fresh and mineral. But still with texture and density.

Light straw yellow colour. Herbs with hints of nettle on the nose. Taste of tropical fruits with hints of spices. Rather short, and almost bitter finish. Goes well with vegetables.

The Haut natural wine actually. And lively and with some freshness. A bit of a salty twang as well.
White
Such a wonderful salty minerality. The green thing on the nose in a charming way. On day two.
White
Has just a classic sense of Provence Blanc. And then thicker and nuttier on the palate. With some thickness but not overdone. I could imagine it would pair incredibly well with some cheese. But which cheese?
White
This is actually the Haut Salette Blanc, not the regular.
White
The natty "Haut" offshoot that is more high altitude. and that is slightly natty, slightly salty, densely woven on the palate but tight across the palate. Intense, if not quite hedonistic enough for me, but maybe that is just me. Very salty on the finish.

Very nice and special white, with quite new grapes for me. Clairette is dominating. «Fat» like chardonnay, but i think milder. Will try another bottle in not too long. :)
White
Pineapple and flush and super textures.
White
Clariette and Rolle. Smells like Coca Cola to me. Citrus flower. And big on the palate. And kinda spritzy too.

Recommended by Jordan, nose expressive of kiwi, banana, melon. Juicy mouth, fresh very fruity, peach apricot, with oily texture. Very good, acceptable length, nice balance, the best bandol white ever, indeed, I live in the region. 90% clairette, 10% rolle.
