Powerhouse of a wine - not as much going on with the nose as I had hoped, but tons of dark fruit flavor, good complexity, medium to heavy mouthfeel, with bold tannins still very present after 13+ years. Tannins became very dry on the finish after about 1 hour of decanting.
This one still has at least another 10 years of aging potential. Looking forward to seeing how this one develops over time - 2 bottles remaining and will look for more.

At The Restaurant at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Dark fruit on the nose, the palate was dark berries, plums, tobacco and hints of fig. A nice smooth finish.

Heavy on the alc (14.7%) and malolactic, really aggressive but the fruit and acidity don't keep up. Pair with something cheesy or buttery, fettuccine Alfredo, that sort of thing. Drink now.

Golden color. Nose: green apple, Asian pear, and white peach with accents of nutmeg, white pepper, toasted marshmallow, chalk, white flowers, and a hint of cotton candy. Medium/full body on the palate: Asian pear, lemon curd, nectarine, and pineapple framed by white pepper, nutmeg, jasmine tea, chalk, toasted marshmallow, and sourdough. Medium acidity. Lingering white pepper, chalk, apple/pear skin, and sourdough on the moderate finish. Decadently rich and quite complex. Drink now.

I think this was past its prime. Not bad exactly, but it tasted more like a white port than a chardonnay.

Fruit is fading but butterscotch and oak give good mouthfeel and surprisingly long finish.

Quite buttery with a toasty oak finish, but on a medium body frame that's light on its feet with apple and pear flavors.
