Sunday, March 09, 2003 soft, fruity, blueberry and vanilla merlot. Deneen liked it; passable for me. with pizza

Pouco aroma e muito sabor, o que faz parecer "fake". Mas agrada se não houver pretensão de um vinho com originalidade. Frutado e adocicado.

For a volume bottle of merlot, this is an acceptable table wine. Seems to improve after being opened.

Thai food w/Dave: Almost a heavy PN, Cardboard nose; some hidden fruit(higher note blueberry-cranberry); lightish body, lo t’s, slightly sour.***Either corked or very young, or a bad bottle of wine. NO

nice boquet, just a little weak for fruit. Not bad for $ and an everyday wine.

A basic entry level merlot. Not bad for the price and could be a wednesday evening wine.

Dark red. Smooth. Flavors of black fruits. A bit overly sweet, almost port like. Tasty immediatly and continued to be good for each of 3 days while kept at room temp. My wife reacts to sulfites but not all wines. She reacted to this wine.

Good. Very dark red-purple color. Nice cherry nose. Dark berries with a hint of spice and tobacco towards the medium length finish. The negatives: a bit too thin and tannic for my linking. Nonetheless, a perfectly drinkable merlot that’s certainly on-par with my expectations for $6/bottle.

Nice dark garnet color...couldn't see through the glass. Nose of dark sour cherries, earth, and dark chocolate. Decent firm mouthfeel. Disappointed in the lack of tannins. Kind of quiet on the front but attacks the mid with dark cherry, blackberry and a little cough syrup. Lacks some of the earthy vegital flavors found in some Merlots. While this wine is a little more up my alley, I've had better merlots. For the price it does quite well and if I needed an inexpensive merlot I might give this a look.

Wow, what a surprise for a $5 bottle! Deep dark, dense color, full boquet of dark red berries, well structured with more dark fruit, oak, spice and deep velvet tanins. A little short on the finish, but pleasant. No bite at all.

Deep ruby color. Light bouquet, moderate nose--a little closed; probably too young. Medium bodied wine, simple structure with blueberry and blackberry notes. Smooth and slightly tannic
