For my taste, I prefer this to the Heintz Vineyard. Really tasty stuff.

Holy smoke! For the age of this wine it is really incredible showing no signs of decline. Blind I never would've guessed this wine being 8+ years old. Beautiful balance between acid and fruit. It keeps me wanting more.

Tasting notes similar to jm madtown but generally degraded with time - whereas his note read positive this one for me feels like the wrong end of all of those flavors

Delicious Chardonnay. Richer style with great acididity paired so well with everything from Hamachi Crudo to Lobster bisque, Turkey and all the accompaniments. This is a food wine but held up so well as a stand alone drink as well.

A wonderful Chardonnay from an excellent vineyard. Fully integrated flavors. The oak was moderate and allowed the mature fruit flavors to dominate. Elegant, and at 12 years, time to enjoy. A food wine especially with fish or chicken with a simple white/butter sauce of some sort.

Well balanced with good acidity & soft crème burle feel in the mouth. Alcohol is well balanced against the body with a full rich mouth feel. Still together for a Six year old Chard! Drink up!

Beautiful and complex Chardonnay. This is what every every CA Chad’s producer using a healthy bit of malo and oak ought to aim for in a wine. Just wonderful.

Vibrant, explosively aromatic, rich but not heavy. Extraordinary.

Bees wax and ripe peaches. A little too sugary and warm weather California. Not unpleasant just not as linear as I would have hoped for and lacking some acidity.

Still performing well, with tropical fruits and a nice acid balance to keep the fruit in check. It could hold for several more years under good cellar conditions. Fantastic wine.

Pale golden straw in color. Bright citrus and Meyer lemon on the nose with floral notes mixed in. Picking up some golden delicious apple notes. Moderate acidity and finish.

Tasty and lovely balance, but didn’t improve after a day of air, so don’t wait too much longer.

My notes from 11/2018 still hold true: "This was fantastic, in a great drinking window. Medium gold color. Nice nose, just the right amount of oak. One the palate, juicy acidity with a medum + body, again nice handle on the amount of oak. Long juicy finish, impeccable balance. No hurry but drinking very well right now, one of the nicer WS chards in a while for me." If anything, it's a bit better though I think this is peaking. I'd get to it sooner vs later just because it's so good!

Served at about 50 degrees F. with no decant. This is a complex, lovely wine. It hides the 14.6% ABV quite well. Citrus, apple peel, and underripe apple on the nose. Palate well-balanced and food-friendly. Compares well to Meursault.

Outstanding and delightful. Not too heavy Oaked, which I like. More like a white burgundy without the chalk. notes of pear, honeydew, vanilla.

The wine looks yellow gold colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like lemon, grapefruit and mineral. It tastes like grapefruit, mineral and honeysuckle. The body is light/medium. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity. I was very happy we still had bottles of this wine we had laid down. I have seen it mature and get better with age, contrary to the prevailing notion that you should drink this early... NOT. They excel at Pinot, but this is quite the Chardonnay!!!

PnP, slightly chilled. Clear, bright intense straw color. Big CA Chard nose. This was delicious. A full bodied wine with intense fruit flavor, citrus, lemon, some oak, vanilla, tart with a long and finish. Tons of acid and freshness. Ideal drinking window, excellent with baked quail. Nothing off. $72 winery direct.

I Am a big fan of their pinots- trying their Chardonnays a bit new for me- a great qpr at the sub $60 release price. Described as Having a nose of yellow apple, pineapple, tangerine and flavors of Meyer lemon, apple pie and savory elements of pencil lead- not sure I got all that ?!- but agree this would be great with mushroom risotto!

The nose is distinctive: pear, apricots and white pepper. The pallet is nectarines and oranges with a tangy, citrus finish, almost more like lime that lingers. This is one of the most unique Chardonnays I have ever had.

Hey Gak - also enjoyed ours with our first crab of the season! Golden color. Green apple, orchard fruits (mostly peach) and citrus on the nose; same flavors with a nice hit of lemon meringue and almond paste on the palate and finish. Start this one on the colder (and more acidic) side and enjoy the transition to the secondary and tertiary flavors as it warms in the glass. Very good.

As someone else recently commented, this reminds me of vanilla crème brûlée. Lots of butterscotch too with a medium finish. Nice.

Drank with first crab of season. Rich and luxurious. Olivet seems to be the Winery’s “biggest” Chardonnay without being overdone by oak or butter. Aging nicely.

I agree with those who’ve said this is in a oerfect spot right now. Cloudy appearance. Banana, caramelized sugar, and cloves on the nose. Good fruit and oak balance on the palate, with a really long, lingering finish. Lots of nuance. A very nice Chard. I’m not sure it will last until 2026 like the CT notes suggest, but if I had more I’d enjoy now anyway.

There's a creaminess to it, faintly vanilla crème brulee, particularly on the nose, that i find dissonant. Otherwise it's soundly made and nicely balanced.

Absolutely stunning Chardonnay. At a perfect place for drinking. Well balanced, medium body and so many flavors! Citrus, a little butter, apples, pineapple and anything else this complex wine could possibly bring to the table. Did I say long finish too?

Really great vintage for this wine. Well balanced with a combination of citrus and cream. Not Tart with enough acid to hold to all in balance. Nose shows the citrus- lemon and grapefruit. Palate shows the fresh cream without being overpowering.

Beautiful golden color in the glass. On the nose, lot’s of mineral it’s with a hint of lemon. In the mouth, more lemon but also a hint of butterscotch as the wine warms in the glass. Lovely finish. Very nice Chardonnay. Still has bottle time left but drinking nicely right now.

I decided to try a young one, we got these about two weeks ago. We normally drink them older, and all of the WS Chardonnays are complex and wonderful after two or three years, or more, in the bottle. But we were making Dover sole with a lemon cream sauce tonight, and I wanted to open this. Great decision. Medium golden color. Complex nose, lemon and honey. The lemon on the palate jumped out with the lemon cream sauce. The palate was bright and refreshing, but had plenty of structure and balance. In addition to the citrus, I got honeysuckle, pears, a bit of maple syrup (not enough to be cloying, just a nice compliment). Long, complex finish. We dined extremely well tonight.
