Introduction

An interesting tasting of red and white bourgundies, all of them tasted blind. Conducted by Hilah

Flight 1 - Reds (5 notes)

Red
2009 Georges Dubœuf Moulin-à-Vent Domaine de la Tour du Bief France, Burgundy, Beaujolais, Moulin-à-Vent
89 points
Tasted blind. Bright ruby color with white edges. A bit alcoholic in the nose. Aromas of flowers and sweetness. Very pleasant and fresh nose. Light to medium bodied, good acidity and soft tannins. Good balance, fresh, young but complex. Excellent value for money (19$).
Red
2006 Bouchard Père et Fils Beaune 1er Cru Beaune du Château France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Beaune 1er Cru
87 points
Purple with hints of orange color. Very light and bright. Flowery and earthy, but with no fruit at all! It gave the impression of a mature wine, but the palate was completely disharmonic with the nose: Light bodied, High and predominant acidity and bitterness. Very tannic. Long and bitter finish – as if it was not ready to drink yet (46$)
