Quite evolved bottle which is quite massive and feels full-bodied; butterscotch, less precision than other Chevaliers, perhaps, but more power

from magnum - a bit less intense and focused than the Colin Le M; however, also wonderful wine with good balance and length

excellent - clean, wonderful acidity, intensity and elegance; bit of pineapple, precise - best white of the night

Best bottle so far of the lot - really open and seductive; lovely Pinot nose, long, nice layers of fruit. Great.

At this stage tight and primary - lots of promise but not the time to drink this now

Initially brett that disappeared somewhat over time - many years early to touch this wine. Somewhat harsh and almost rustic; the beauty of the terroir did not really shine through

This showed quite well I found; views were mixed in the room, though.

OK - initially smelt maderized, but never faulty. Quite full color - a bit Sherry taste with back Cherries. The experts did not like it - I and some others felt it is quite drinkable.

From magnum - initially a bit steely and fruit perhaps too much in the background. But opened up nicely and found a good balance. I would drink this up - pieces are in place and the wine seems more complete and evolved than the M 1983

Thought still somewhat tight - but great structure and poise with a hint of tobacco, cigar box, and perfect balance. Would give this another couple of years - less sweet and opulent than the Palmer 1983

Think my fourth or fifth bottle and again so clearly in its Zen - seductive, sweetish nose - almost mature Burg - opulent in the mouth and amazing length. What a wine!

This showed very well - powerful and complete; I find this wine always (well only third bottle) a bit Latour-like compared to other La Mission's - stoic, structured, long, perfect

with cheese - great intensity and length - impressive
