Red
2010 Domaine Marius Delarche Pernand-Vergelesses Les Boutières
90 points
This bottle showed clearly better than the bottle from a few days ago. Really beautiful generous nose. Palate didn't disappoint either. New world-ish big and deep fruit but well-balanced. Young, but very approachable right now. Some structure underneath the bold fruit hints that this will last a while too.
Red
2009 Domaine de Montille Bourgogne
90 points
Seemed a little restrained compared to the boisterous 2010 Delarche Pernande-Vergelesses tasted just before, but impeccably pure and balanced. Very fine Bourgogne, though a little pricey at $35. Just a baby - should probably give this a few years to open up.
Red
2009 Régis Bouvier Marsannay Les Longeroies Vieilles Vignes

Consistent with the last bottle. Forward, enjoyable fleshy mouthfeel, but lacks concentration at this point. Quite tannic finish. Let this one sleep for a few more years.
Red
2008 Domaine de Montille Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Aux Thorey
83 points
This did not show particularly well this evening. Slightly stinky nose but in a good way. On the palate, this was quite light, pretty, and floral with good acidity but absolutely no fruit to balance it out. Come across as thin. Just no depth for a wine of this pedigree. Major disappointment.

Red
2009 Domaine de Montille Pommard 1er Cru Les Pèzerolles
94 points
Easily the best red of the tasting. Gorgeous, expansive nose that envelops the senses and transports you to a wonderful place. I spent about 10 minutes sniffing before taking a sip. The palate didn't disappoint either. Silky and powerful, beautifully balanced and pure, showing complex berry, florals, and spice. Long, satisfying finish that ended with some hard tannins suggesting that this be laid to rest for a year or ten. This will only get better. This is one for the cellar to be opened on a special occasion years down the road.

Flight 2 (6 notes)
White
2010 Patrick Piuze Chablis Terroir de Chablis
90 points
Lots going on with this. Round with tropical flavors with a good streak of acidity to keep it fresh. Very enjoyable.
White
2010 Les Héritiers du Comte Lafon Viré-Clessé
91 points
Really nice. Mineral and acid driven but with some nice chard flavors. Fresh and lively but loaded with flavor. This is what Chardonnay is supposed to be like.
White
2010 Eve et Michel Rey Pouilly-Fuissé En Buland
90 points
Very pretty perfumed nose. Big fruit but nicely balanced. Enjoyed this a lot.
White
2009 Domaine Pierre Guillemot Savigny-lès-Beaune Dessus Les Gollardes Blanc
90 points
Really expressive and generous nose. Every sip resulted in a different sensation of flavor. Fascinating wine.
White
2009 Aliane Meursault Vieilles Vignes
86 points
Heavy oak on the nose and palate. Reminded me of typical Cali chardonnay which I don't enjoy much. My least favorite white of the tasting.
White
2009 Domaine Jean Chartron Puligny-Montrachet 1er Cru
90 points
Showing some oak. Loaded with tropical fruit but with good balancing adicity.
