2010 Arnot-Roberts Old Vine White Compagni-Portis Vineyard USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Valley

Gorgeous nose of melon, white flowers and lime. Light to medium bodied with medium acidity. Clean, crisp lemon and granny smith apple flavors. Nice long lemony finish. Great freshness and balance. Very different incarnation of this vineyard field blend than Bedrock's, which features much more gewurztraminer character. Apparently this comes from a section of the vineyard that contains more riesling and sylvaner.
White
2010 Arnot-Roberts Ribolla Gialla Vare Vineyard USA, California, Napa Valley
88 points
Reticent nose, a bit of lemon. Medium bodied with medium acidity. Slightly waxy palate with lemon. Not very complex at this stage but nice acidity and freshness. Shy in comparison to the Compagni Portis.
Red
2010 Arnot-Roberts Syrah Clary Ranch USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast
86 points
Green and black pepper nose. Medium bodied with medium acidity. Violets, green olive, tart raspberry and black pepper. Light to medium tannins. A bit greener than I prefer.
Red
2010 Arnot-Roberts Syrah Griffin's Lair USA, California, Sonoma County, Sonoma Coast
93 points
Really pretty nose of ripe black raspberries and flowers. Medium bodied with medium acidity. Blueberry and blackberry fruit with depth. Moderate tannins provide nice structure. Great balance and freshness.
Red
2010 Arnot-Roberts Syrah North Coast USA, California, North Coast
89 points
Red fruit, bacon and a bit of green herb on the nose. Light to medium bodied with medium acidity. Fresh blueberry and raspberry fruit. Moderate tannins. Similar structure to the Griffin's but lacks the depth of fruit.
Red
2009 Arnot-Roberts Cabernet Sauvignon Fellom Ranch USA, California, Santa Cruz Mountains
93 points
Big, deep blackberry and cassis nose with baking spice. Medium to full bodied with medium acidity. Great mouthfeel, plush and velvety without being lush and overdone. Sweet blackberry and raspberry fruit. Great balance, not a lot of tannin, seems ready to go.
Red
2009 Arnot-Roberts Cabernet Sauvignon Bugay Vineyard USA, California, Sonoma County
91 points
Ripe blackberry and cassis nose. Medium to full bodied with medium acidity. Black plum and blackberry fruit is a bit deeper than the Fellom Ranch and moderate tannins provide significantly more structure. Really tasty but probably better in a few years.
