Johnny brought this to his going away dinner at Scoozi.
Consumed from a bad ass magnum. Touch of petrol.
Green fruit, some nice stones. A touch of effervescence and white flowers. Extremely fresh and palate cleansing.
Real nice white qualities all around. Ripe and minerals too. Really nice. A perfect star to the evening.

Fresh piney, green but ripe qualities. Green apple Jolly Rancher candy. Lots of caressing fruit and spice as well.
Expressive and complex but extremely approachable. Really intriguing and well made wine.

Greg and I brought this to Johnny's going away dinner at Scoozi.
Candied fruit. Sexy flamboyant spicy styling. Plump pink fruit. More Jolly Rancher - watermelon and cherry.
Palate has more grip than the nose lets on. Nice white chocolate, coconut. So so tasty. Really awesome wine. Gotta go deeper into Keplinger.

Killer wine of the night for everyone I believe. This was singing on this occasion. Best bottle I've had yet.
Let open in the bottle for an hour or two. Everything going on here. So much extraction yet restraint on the nose. Such royal dark berries, cigar, cassis. Flowers, minerals, sweet spice, a little funky and meaty with some light pepper and black truffle on the back end.
One of the best California wines I've tasted. Fantastic body, grip and elegance. A super powerhouse with years to live but it's killer today. If you have multiple bottles I'd say open one now. Bravo. Hells yeah!

Alright. Time after time I have been utterly impressed with Cayuse. ESPECIALLY as a young drinking Syrah.
Super meaty and bloody. Pinot styling with strong pepper on the nose. Understated though in your face. So savory.
Funk, earth with finesse. Figs, plums, bacon fat, game, olive tapenade.
Palate is long and in perfect balance. I cannot recommend Christoph wines' enough. If you can't get Cayuse, try and find some Renyvaan - it's his only other project.

One of the better Alban Syrah besides the '03 in my opinion. Black as night. Blackberry, funky, curry, black vegetables. Rhubarb, earth, coal. So dark and hedonistic. In your face and taking no prisoners. Not for everyone.
A mean wine. Licorice and even black flowers. A killer in disguise. So darn tasty as a whole. Winner. Get some. Not for the faint of heart.

Consumed from a magnum at Johnny's going away dinner at Scoozi.
Beautiful full leather and classic black cherry. Voluptuous and beautiful mouth feel.
Absolutely stunning quality with a royal and elegant style.
Nicely harnessed. Timeless wine.
