2011 Duckhorn Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc Napa Valley
88 points
Pale color with aromas of grass, quince, citrus and tart apple. Softened acidity with subtle citrus and grass notes on the palate. Nice, easy finish. 88-89 pts for me, 90 for Domino.

2011 Mer Soleil Chardonnay Silver Unoaked

Pale yellow color with a green tint. Aromas of banana, coconut and tropical fruit turning to apple. Full-bodied, with flavors of banana, apple and tropical fruit.

Deep yellow color. Notes of peach, toast, mineral and stone with floral overtones. Oily texture with a strong mineral/stone component, wax and tropical fruit. Long finish.

Dark ruby color. Aromas of earth, black cherry and spice- cinnamon, nutmeg. Cherry and spice flavors with softened acidity and a decent finish.

Inky crimson color. Opens with earthy, meaty qualities, along with cherry and raspberry. Medium tannins with black and red fruit, meat and earth. Nice, but not particularly interesting. 52% Syrah, 23% Grenache, 18% Mourvedre and 1% Counoise. 87-88 pts.
