Bright yellow color. Strong petrol nose. Tastes of apple, melon, lime, and orange zest. Medium to full-bodied. Rich finish with great complexity.

Straw yellow color. Lemon and lime aromatics with a nice minerality. Flavors of melon and apple with a deep limestone mineral backbone. Long elegant finish that lasts for minutes. Outstanding.

Sadly corked

Black in color. Perfumed nose of blackcurrant and Asian hardwood. Tastes of blackberry, cherry, currant, and cedar. Deep mid palate complexity. Medium bodied. Beautiful elegance on the long finish. Simply Outstanding.

A backup wine to the corked 2000 Palmer. Dark ruby color. Deep black fruit nose. Tastes of blackberry, black cherry, and charred oak. Full bodied. Fruit forward complex finish with good freshness and acidity. No slouch but unfortunately this wine pales in comparison to the 1996 Margaux.

Bottle #3: Smells of hair spray like the first. Not much luck with this producer tonight. Funny as I liked this at the Union des Grand Crus de Bordeaux tasting.

Golden color. Apricot and lemon nose. Rich full-bodied mid palate. Flavors of orange blossoms, peach, pear, and melon. Long, rich, complex finish.
