Introduction

The breakfast was upgraded with NV Gamla Hashmura Brut (defined as 1st flight of the day)

At midday we had a (blind) tasting at GHW (defined as 2nd flight of this day)

Shabbat reception was escorted with Muscat dessert wine (defined as 3rd flight)

All those great wines that we enjoyed during dinner were defined as 4th flight

my guess was that it's a 2004/5 CS, as I didn't consider the possibility of a magnum, which it was...

ripe red raspberries and blueberries aroma with light floral notes of violets,
smoked meat and oak-vanilla.
Full-bodied with lot of ripe fruits, soft tannins, med acidity, followed by roasted meat, vanilla and cloves flavours. Excellent structure.
Pleasant soft & long elegant finish.

long and spicy ending, with chocolate & vanilla
not a typical Pinot Noir but a lovely and enjoyable wine for food.

black fruit, sweet oak, and coffee note on the palate, excellent structure,
full bodied, from grip tannins, a long finish.
still very young for a double magnum - can age 10 more years...
