Flight 5 (1 note)

Red
1998 Chateau Musar Lebanon, Bekaa Valley

Very light coloured, translucent with an orange rim.
Sweet, peppery, fruity, very fragrant.
Peppery fruit, tannins and acidity in reasonable balance, a light feel, medium length.

Flight 6 (1 note)

Red
1995 Chateau Musar Lebanon, Bekaa Valley
85 points
Dark, translucent, very brown.
Strangled fruit, figs, smoky, a really difficult nose but interesting.
Peppery figs and dates giving a sweet effect but this wine is very dry, acidity OK, maybe interestingly different from other Musars.

Flight 7 (1 note)

Red
1994 Chateau Musar Lebanon, Bekaa Valley
91 points
Light, translucent, fairly orange.
Initially the nose reveals vegetal development, then there's perfume rather than fruit.
Fairly sweet attack, rich, fruity, great balance, lovely drinking, fresh with element of youth, difficult to believe it's a 20-year-old wine!

Flight 8 (1 note)

Red
1989 Chateau Musar Lebanon, Bekaa Valley
93 points
Translucent, mahogany.
Very attractive development on the nose, fruity perfume.
Very complex, a wine for contemplation, sweet fruit, great balancing acidity, great length.
