Flight 1 (5 notes)
2013 Kroiss Roland Wiener Gemischter Satz
"Gemischter Satz" is a field blend of varietals that are co-fermented, traditionally with Gruner Veltliner among the larger varietals. This wine had a dash of sweetness with flavors of stone fruits. A slight spritz and acidity made this a lively wine. (Doris #2 of 3)
2012 Kroiss Roland Zweigelt Hackenberg
Dark purple color. Kaboom! Spicy, tannic. Needs 2-3 years for tannins to integrate. Aromas of earth, dark fruits, cherries. This is a food wine, served with spicy or robust meals. (Doris 92. caramel. WOTN)
