The North of Scotland distillery was established in 1958 in Tullibody in Crackmannanshire; it was mothballed in 1980 and dismantled in 1993. This whisky was selected by Forbes Ross & Co in Rutherglen and bottled in 2005 at 43% ABV. Floral and fragrant nose, subtle note of Metaxa, balances warm but neutral wood with freshness, deep, complex and refined; the palate is silky-smooth, elegant, with a light body and subtle flavours that do not lack intensity; finishes ever-so-slightly hot, with delicious notes of fruit and vanilla.

Identical to my previous note. Four years old now and showing really well. A delicious and grown-up Rosé.

Lovely nose, aromatic, warm Asian spices, black fruit, red meat, mineral freshness, floral top note; supple and warm palate, ripe tannins, lovely balance, satiny texture, medium body, clean flavours, plums; good length, hint of vanilla. A (relatively) inexpensive delight.

Warm and spicy, rich and vibrant, slightly burnt character, hint of boudoir powder, quite developed for a 10 YO.

Complete, beautifully balanced, rich yet elegant, strong note of salted caramel, hint of nuts, delicately sweet, candied orange fruit, tangy acidity, intense flavours, very good length.

Elegant, refined, silky and long, floral, subtle and deep, tangy acidity is perfectly integrated, Bual-like, apricot, nuts, orange, hint of salted caramel, spices, smoke.
