Introduction

All wines were tasted blind.

Flight 1 (1 note)

White - Sparkling
2009 Reichsrat Von Buhl Riesling Sekt Brut Germany, Pfalz
86 points
Just after opening a touch of yeast in the bouquet. Focused and crispy bubble with tart lime, apple and some pear. Also some chalky minerals. Firm mousse.

Flight 2 (2 notes)

White
2006 Provins Fendant Valais Switzerland, Valais
77 points
Not a very expressive bouquet, but there is some white and yellow fruit like melon as well as some butter. On the palate white fruits, anise and fennel and some minerals. A bit fat and lacking acidity. I was told these wines taste better when they are younger, but imho the constitution of this wine will never be great. My score for my own reference is 77.
White
2010 Guilhem et Jean-Hugues Goisot Saint-Bris Exogyra Virgula France, Burgundy, Côtes d'Auxerre, Saint-Bris
86 points
In the bouquet some smoke, pear, gooseberry, melon and honey and overall not really outspoken. On the palate tart apple and lime. Focused and a lot of acidity, but not really complex. A pleasant wine though.

Flight 3 (2 notes)

White
2011 Marqués de Riscal Verdejo Rueda Spain, Castilla y León, Rueda
83 points
Some spiciness, pear, white fruits, tart apple, flowers. Refreshing terrace wine.
White
2011 Weingut R & A Pfaffl Grüner Veltliner Zeiseneck Austria, Niederösterreich, Weinviertel
85 points
Slightly sparkling in the start. Tart apple, pear, melon, ripe fruits, some bitterness in the finish. A medium bodied, fresh and focused, elegant wine.

Flight 4 (2 notes)

White
2009 Denis Race Chablis 1er Cru Vaillons France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis 1er Cru
88 points
Aromatic and expressive bouquet with tropical fruits like apricots and some spiciness. On the palate aromatic and fresh. Nicely dry, but also a slight touch of sweetness. Fairly full bodied and a good length. Medium acidity. Not the standard focused and mineral Chablis, but certainly a pleasurable and excellent wine.

In the bouquet toast, butter, flint stone and citrus. On the palate stone fruits, good citrus, tangerine and minerality. Full bodied and focused wine.

Fresh and aromatic bouquet. On the palate a lot of apple, pear, other white fruits and melon as well as some honey and flowers. Not much acidity. An easy and friendly aromatic wine.

Flight 6 (2 notes)

2009 De Kleine Schorre Schouwen-D®uiveland Barrique Pinot Blanc & Auxerrois Netherlands, Zeeland, Schouwen-Duiveland
