Introduction

All wines were tasted not blind.

Flight 1 (2 notes)

White
2013 Domaine Sainte Lucie Côtes de Provence MiP Made in Provence Premium Blanc France, Provence, Côtes de Provence
83 points
Floral bouquet with white fruits like apple and some bananas as well. On the palate bananas, bananas and bananas. Also some pear, fennel, mild acidity and a touch of bitterness. Definitely a refreshing wine on a hot Provence afternoon and overall an ok basic wine.
White
2012 Domaines Ott Côtes de Provence Blanc de Blancs Clos Mireille France, Provence, Côtes de Provence
86 points
The bouquet is a bit locked but shows some minerals like flint stone. Same on the palate, some smoke as well, unripe apples, firm tart lemon and lime. Overall the wine is a bit locked on the palate as well, but also a bit reductive. A bit fat as well. Special wine. Maybe it needs another year in the bottle so everything falls into place. For now 85 – 87+?

Flight 2 (3 notes)

Rosé
2012 Caves d'Esclans Whispering Angel France, Provence, Côtes de Provence
87 points
In the bouquet rose buds, some strawberry and sweet cherry candy stick. On the palate some strawberries, nicely dry, pleasant acidity and bitterness. Although rosé is not really my cup of tea, I can imagine rosé lovers really appreciate this harmonious wine. A score of 87+ for the quality of the wine.
Rosé
2013 Château Miraval Côtes de Provence Rosé France, Provence, Côtes de Provence
88 points
The bouquet is a bit locked, but there are some rose buds and herbs and spices. On the palate strawberries, raspberries, candy flavors and mild acidity. Some pleasant bitterness and an ok length. A better rosé. Ready now and next year.

Rosé
2014 Rimauresq Côtes de Provence Cru Classé Rosé France, Provence, Côtes de Provence
89 points
In the bouquet blossom, rose buds, strawberry, raspberry, some mint and spiciness. On the palate fresh and nicely dry. Some strawberries, raspberries, licorice, anise and herbs and spices. Good acidity and pleasant bitterness. Nice rosé. Ready now and probably nice drinking this and next year.

Flight 3 (3 notes)

Rosé
2013 Domaine Saint André de Figuière Côtes de Provence Premiere du Figuiere France, Provence, Côtes de Provence
85 points
The bouquet is a bit locked and shows some yellow fruits. On the palate not extremely tasty. Some papaya? is what I wrote down. Ok wine, but nothing really special.
Rosé
2009 Domaine Lafran-Veyrolles Bandol Rosé France, Provence, Bandol
86 points
The bouquet is a bit reductive and not very expressive, but there is some anise and licorice. On the palate also a bit reductive with some minerals, mature yellow fruits, some honey and licorice. Not really what I prefer, but the wine in itself is ok.
Rosé
2009 Château Dalmeran Les Baux-de-Provence France, Provence, Les Baux-de-Provence
In the bouquet some red fruits and also some oxidized impressions. On the palate quite mature and reductive, quite much sweetness, still some red fruits, a bit fat, some bitterness. Not really bad, but also not very harmonious. Maybe too old?

Flight 4 (2 notes)

Red
2008 Domaine de la Tour du Bon Bandol France, Provence, Bandol
87 points
In the bouquet very ripe fruits, cherries, clove, vanilla and leather. On the palate dark and red fruits, some herbs and spices, licorice, firm acidity and slightly sticky tannin.
Red
2001 Domaine Sorin Bandol France, Provence, Bandol
88 points
In the bouquet earth, minerals and a touch of barnyard. On the palate chocolate, toast, coffee, salty licorice, cinnamon, firm but good acidity, round and soft tannin with still a pleasant bite and a good length. Completely ready now. Drink in 2015 or 2016 is probably the best thing to do.

Flight 5 (2 notes)

Red
2009 Château Simone Palette France, Provence, Palette
89 points
The bouquet is still a bit locked but shows cherries, herbs and spices and some vanilla. On the palate firm a bit harsh cherries and dark berries, minerals, herbs and spices again, firm acidity and sticky tannin. The wine needs a few more years of ageing. Around 2018? 89+
Red
2006 Château Miraval Côtes de Provence Natouchka France, Provence, Côtes de Provence
90 points
Beautiful bouquet with ripe dark forest fruits, minerals and good vanilla from the oak. Some earth and a bit rustic as well. On the palate ripe dark berries esp. blackberries, plums, sweet spices, coffee, mocha and some earth. Good acidity and bitterness and tannin with still a pleasant bite. Good length. Beautiful and mature wine which can easily be cellared for another 3+ years.

Flight 6 (1 note)

Red
2012 Domaine Richeaume Cuvée Tradition France, Provence, Mediterranée
87 points
Cherries, dark fruits and some minerals in the bouquet. On the palate very ripe fruits, sweet spices, clove, minerals and some coffee. Ok acidity and mild, round tannin. Ok wine.
