Light-medium pink color. Drank 1 glass over 30 minutes. A solid rose with pleasant red fruits, good acid and freshness. 88+pts.

Light gold color. Drank 2 glasses over an hour. This was showing very nicely tonight. Quite crisp and lively with a clean citrus profile, lemon, saline,refined chalky minerality, yeast, with good persistence. 91+ to 92pts.

Pale straw color. Drank 1 glass over 30 minutes. This was a nice pairing with our Greek salads. I'm a big fan of Louis Michel wines in general and this very good if not as remarkable as others. Citrus, saline, seashore minerals and maybe a bit less acid or something that gave it less energy and verve. 90(+?)pts.

Medium reddish pink color. Drank 2 glasses over an hour. This was quite impressive. A rose with with some significant power and depth. There's an earthy, yeastiness upfront that is quite enticing along with a graceful floral aspect. The red fruits are more to the red berry profile with a good amount of spice, toast and nicely bright acid. Good minerality with a slightly chalky bend. This was lovely. 93+pts.

Light medium red color. Slow -O for a hour or two, drank 1+ glass over 60 minutes plus. If you're going to make a mistake and grab the wrong bottle, you could do a lot worse than Rousseau G-C :). While it would have been equally fun to drink the intended '06 Rousseau LSJ, no one was shedding any tears! The Rousseau again showed its signature poise and purity. Just a lovely bottle of seamlessness. Really nice spice, red fruit some earth which really builds over an hour. On the palate there's also some fresh crushed herbs, medium body and pretty, tart red fruit. 92+pts.

light medium red color. Slow-O for an hour os so, drank 1 glass over an hour. Drank this next to the '10 Rousseau G-C. This held its own, though it didn't have the overall finesse and purity of the Rousseau. Spices, wood notes, tart red cherry, grainy medium tannins, very tart red berries, hints of strawberry and fresh dill, less earthy. Feels more youthful still.

Medium red color. Slow-O for 2 hours, drank 2 glasses over 90+ minutes. Well, the hour I spent hunting for this bottle in the cellar certainly ended up being worth it. This far exceeded any expectations. A pristine CSJ that simply exuded this floral perfume of potpourri, earth, incense, fine leather, exotic spices and red fruits. Vibrant, elegant, and a touch savory on the palate this was long and seductive with integrated tannins and superb balance and length. My WOTN, 94+pts.

Pretty similar to a bottle we had back in January. Really good, dense, earthy, medium full bodied. You can see this evolving nicely.

A blind bonus bottle generously provided by Jimmy. Clearly pinot and thought to be an earthy Oregon pinot, which was exactly what it was. I always love Seven Springs wines and this was not an exception. Plenty of red berries and front end earthiness that I adore from this vineyard. These '11's continue to get better and like '07 will have great longevity if you can lay off them. 91+ to 92pts.

Another blind bonus bottle from Jimmy. PNP, and in keeping with our theme tonight - another pinot, pegged by everyone as clearly Burgundy. The reveal, brought some surprises as it was '04, and no green meanies here at all. This was earthy, spiced, youthfully fresh, raspberry, spice box, wood spice, and nice acid. Thanks for that pleasant surprise!

Very good, maple, almond, Captain Crunch, and hints of raisin.
