Flight 1 (2 notes)

Red - Fortified
N.V. Agri-Roncão Porto DR - 10 Year Old Tawny Portugal, Douro, Porto
85 points
Spicy caramel and a touch of red fruit. Short and watery aftertaste and the wine is overall a bit weird and to some extent a bit generic.
Red - Fortified
N.V. Agri-Roncão Porto DR - 40 Year Old Tawny Portugal, Douro, Porto
93 points
Creamy texture with varnish (VA), leather and a spicy aftertaste.
Lovely acidity and overall a light but still flavorful wine. A very nice wine.

Flight 2 (2 notes)

Red - Fortified
N.V. Quinta do Noval Porto 40 Year Old Tawny Portugal, Douro, Porto
95 points
A lot of complexity and VA on the nose.
Huge flavors of sweet caramel, hazelnuts and coffee. A classic aged tawny done in a very beautiful way. Great wine.
Red - Fortified
N.V. Quinta do Noval Porto 10 Year Old Tawny Portugal, Douro, Porto
90 points
Juicy red and sweet fruit with a lovely and spicy aftertaste. The flavors are almost like candied raspberries.
Quite dry aftertaste and a good acidity. Nice representation of the 10T style.

Flight 3 (2 notes)

Red - Fortified
N.V. J.W. Burmester Porto 10 Year Old Tawny Portugal, Douro, Porto
88 points
Juice and sweet raspberry fruit with a lovely spicy aftertaste.
An okay wine but lacks a bit of acidity.
Red - Fortified
N.V. J.W. Burmester Porto 40 Year Old Tawny Portugal, Douro, Porto
86 points
Very dusty and old nose. The flavors are equally dusty, with a watery aftertaste.
There are some caramel and cigar-box flavors and also some different nuts.
The wine is overly sweet and clearly lacks acidity. It has the feel of a special wine but it seems to just be to old.
Highly disappointing when the wine was revealed.
