White - Sparkling
N.V. De Muller Cava Brut Nature Reina Violant

Golden colour. Ripe yellow apples and dried figs. Developed on the palate with really creamy texture. Missing a whole lot of acidity for me to consider it in Champagne league.
White - Sparkling
2004 R. & L. Legras Champagne Grand Cru Présidence Vieilles Vignes

Really nice elegant touch of white blossoms and bright green apples. So nice and balanced with lovely acid structure and creaminess. Finishes with complex autolysis.

Oaky all the way - buttery, popcorn and sweet spices. Too flabby and not enough fruit.
Red
1998 Poderi Aldo Conterno Langhe Quartetto

Surprisingly tertiary on both the nose and the palate. This is “only” a 17 year old wine, and even though it is not the top Barolo selection, the producer is highly renown and the Nebbiolo tend to age well from all over the area. Tar, leather and animalistic. Dried fruit and heavy dark roasted Robusta.
Red
2007 Domaine Alain Burguet Gevrey-Chambertin Mes Favorites Vieilles Vignes

Raspberry with some age to it. Missing some structure.
Red
2000 Domaine Robert Chevillon Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Les Vaucrains

Nice and complex with the age. Medium intensity, but complex nose of dark cherry, cassia, blueberry compote and chocolate - lather it turns a bit earthy as well. Good balance on the palate with brighter cherry and red fruit.
Red
2014 Sylvain Cathiard Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Aux Thorey

Lovely Pinot nose - bright red fruit, white pepper, a bit earthy, milk chocolate and blueberry. Concentration is hough on the palate but it is still young, tannic and austere. This one is very good now but will turn after some years.
Red
1997 Franco Molino Barolo Riserva Rocche dell'Annunziata

Marzipan, barn yard, tar and animalistic. Tight on the palate but good structure and lots of concentration.
Red
1968 R. López de Heredia Rioja Gran Reserva Viña Tondonia

An ocean of tertiary aromas. Over the top but still fun. I’ve had an Ygay from the same vintage which was in a lot neater shape.
