Plenty of bright berry aromas, flavors with rounded textures of Pinot Noir (85% of blend). Good length and balance.

White
2016 North Valley Vineyards Chardonnay USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley
85 points
Tasting, brief note. Comes across as very forward and ripe with good weight, moderate length, but almost flabby on the finish.
Red
2015 Soter Pinot Noir Origin Series Dundee Hills USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Dundee Hills
Tasting, brief note. Lots of red cherry throughout, comes across as sweet to start, slightly tart on the finish. Simple and enjoyable, but not quite harmonious to me right now.
Red
2015 North Valley Vineyards Pinot Noir Reserve USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley

Tasting, brief note. For me this was a big step up vs the '15 Dundee "Origin" just tasted. Same rich red cherry, but more integrated and concentrated.

Tasting, brief note. Red and black cherry with background spice and everything in place. Good now with upside.

2002 Soter Pinot Noir Beacon Hill USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Yamhill-Carlton

Popped and poured. Wonderful aromas of ripe black cherry with sweet spice, nicely matured. Good flavors, slightly less exciting and balanced vs the nose. Still a good combination of freshness and earth, just with a slightly tannic finish. My last bottle from a case purchased from the winery at release, this bottle was better vs my previous bottle opened one year ago.
