2016 Jean Defaix Domaine Chablis 1er Cru Côte de Léchet
Full and interesting while still whistle-clean. Green apples, white flowers. Served with Pan fried scallops with braised pork belly, and twice-baked Kidderton Ash goat cheese soufflé.
Red
2009 La Rioja Alta Rioja Viña Ardanza Reserva
Sweet(ish) and enticing nose, rich in red and black fruits, vanilla. Palate follows through. Enjoyed but found it a touch heavy. Served with fillet of Scottish beef with watercress brioche crust.
