White - Sparkling
2008 Dom Pérignon Champagne France, Champagne
Legacy edition. Stone fruit flavors, very high acidity, with some waxy/honey notes with time. some saline hints towards the finish. textured in the mouth. overall seems coiled and very young, pleasurable now but I feel like the glories of a vintage Dom are more evident with age and this isn't there yet. 94 pts with upside
White - Sparkling
1995 Charles Heidsieck Champagne Blanc des Millénaires France, Champagne
golden stone fruits, with pronounced brioche richness, nutty in a good way. deep figgy fruit intensity, complex and drinking at peak maturity I'd think, but I also feel like it's not fading in the least and could go for some years yet. Wonderful and stood out as a mature champagne amongst others that were 10 years younger. 95 pts

light slate color. Nose buttery, some lemoncream; *deep.* Palate opens with light vanilla, then white peach and some lemony flavor. Textured and silky, rich bodied. A big wine drinking at peak to my taste; could have wished for some more finesse perhaps. 90-91 pts

White
2011 Domaine Michel Niellon Chevalier-Montrachet France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru
notes of orange peel and some tropical fruit, some oily and oaky richness -- a bit fat. does have prominent acidity that emerges more with time. Seems a bit unbalanced right now but perhaps will gain more focus with further age. 89-90 pts
White
2011 Domaine Rollin Père et Fils Corton-Charlemagne France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru
nose initially prominent plasticky note -- like a PVC/plastic pool toy per J. some wax.
Flavors of tropical fruit and spice; palate broader/rounded than expected. The nose was a bit off putting but overall an enjoyable if not especially memorable wine. 89-90 pts

Flight 3 - stickies (2 notes)

White - Sweet/Dessert
2009 Oremus Tokaji Aszú 5 Puttonyos Hungary, Tokaji
light golden color. Nose explosive; floral and peach notes. Palate incredibly floral, orange blossom and honey; high acidity provides balance. Lovely. 94 pts
White - Sweet/Dessert
1989 Moulin Touchais Coteaux du Layon France, Loire Valley, Anjou-Saumur, Coteaux du Layon
92 points
dark golden color. Nose funky, some cherry notes. Palate stone fruit -- cherries; vanilla, floral; rich-bodied. Good with a duck liver dish, pairs as well as a Sauternes but with more of a funky/cherry vibe

opened 1.5 hours in advance.
light transparent ruby. Nose slightly musty at first, then red grape/raisin. Palate red cherries, lightly medicinal flavor; overall strikingly still vibrant fruit. Interesting to try a >60 year-old grand cru that still offers a lot of pleasure. 92 pts
Red

Red
1990 Louis Jadot Chapelle-Chambertin France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chapelle-Chambertin Grand Cru
