Flight 1 (3 notes)

Red
1978 Château Brie-Caillou France, Bordeaux, Médoc
77 points
Expressive bouquet with fresh red berries and already some development. On the palate quite acidic red berries, butter, some oak and still some tannin. Overall a thin and light bodied wine. I will not buy again.
Red
1982 Château Olivier France, Bordeaux, Graves, Pessac-Léognan
90 points
Beautiful bouquet with dark and red berries, caramel, smoke and pleasant toast. On the palate cassis, licorice, vanilla and some iron. Good acidity and a firm dose of round tannin. Beautiful and concentrated wine which will probably improve for another 5 – 10 years.
Red
1980 Château Dauzac France, Bordeaux, Médoc, Margaux
84 points
Expressive bouquet with fruit, oak and alcohol. Fresh tannin and quite much acidity. Medium bodied. The wine is in the beginning of its maturity stage now, so it can last a few more years. Not for the real long term though.
