Generous contribution from Tom, nicely chilled, PnP, first wine of the lunch. Drank over an hour

Medium gold color. Rounded nose of candied citrus, white flowers and butter notes. Elegant palate showing pineapple, lemon curd, orange zest, mineral notes and saline. Good persistence through the mid palate, continued to improve over the time we drank it. Medium weight and finish.

Great showing on this day. Sorry to see so many other tasters had premox'd bottles. This bottle suggests another 7-10 years...

Juan brought this one...nice to be introduced to this wine. I think the first vintage of this. PnP.

Bright ruby color. Nose of candied red fruit, savory/meat, mineral. Richly textured palate showing bright red and blue fruit, spice. Good length and energy through the mid palate. Medium/full body, long finish.

Excellent showing...interesting and well made wine from a up and coming appellation. Would like to have given it more time to open, great now but should improve with some cellar time. Will look to get on their list!

One of my contributions, the oldest Saxum in my cellar (only bottle of this vintage). Lunch with Juan and Tom was a good excuse to open this. Had them do a splash decant (no sediment), drank over an hour.

Medium purple/ruby color, some mild separation. Fragrant and smokey nose of red fruits, plums, coffee and bacon fat. Plate of blackberry, dark cherry, smoke, herbs and pepper. Would describe mid palate as raspberry liqueur, dried cherries...a lot going on here. Full body and long finish.

Great wine, as expected. Fully mature and ready now. Should drink at this level for a while but not likely to improve.
