Flight 1 - Thanksgiving Dinner (2 notes)

Rosé
2019 Yaacov Oryah Pretty As The Moon Israel

Definitely the time to drink, but this was my favorite rose in a LONG time.
Papaya, raspberries, teeny bits of salt and smoke. First wine of the day, a great start. Will work super well with sage and other turkey herbs
White - Sparkling
2007 Golan Heights Winery Yarden Blanc de Blancs Late-Disgorged Israel, Galilee, Golan Heights

I still like this, but it’s completely changedinto a nuttier bottle. Is it bad? Nah. Don’t sit on it tho. And it’s not worth it’s price. But if u have a bottle? Will still drink well, just don’t linger on it. Pop and pour fast 😂.

Flight 2 - Shabbat Dinner (2 notes)

Red
2007 Hevron Heights Armagedon Israel, Judean Hills

White
2019 Yatir Mt. Amasa Israel, Judean Hills

Showing really well with tons of layered fruits (mango, peach, poached pear, lemon), a bracing acidity, nice rich body and a great granite like minerality. Drinking well but can see it doing just fine over a couple of years

Flight 3 - Sabbat Lunch (1 note)

White
2019 Shirah Grüner Veltliner USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Barbara County
91 points
Incredibly well done, I love this series. Green and white melons, tons of herbs (chamomile, lemon verbena, tarragon, and all the other sweet herbs). High acid, lemon & lime. High salinity; clay and salt. Cut granite. Green apple, underripe pear, ground cherries. Wonderful.

Flight 4 - Last Day Shenanigans (2 notes)

Rosé
2020 Itay Lahat Vignette Rosé of Grenache Israel, Galilee
90 points
Still one of the best rose’s of the year! Strawberry, chamomile, grapefruit, slate. Wonderful
Red
2018 Timbre Winery Pinot Noir The Rhythm Riverbench Vineyard USA, California, Central Coast, Santa Maria Valley
92 points
Cherries, blackcurrants, mushroom, teeny bits of forest floor. decent acidity, low tannin, very long finish. Some vanilla & graham cracker perhaps?
A fun but elegant PN, super happy to still have a bottle of this tucked away. Will probably wait until 2024-5 to drink that one.
