ID 221032. A blend of 195 wines from twelve vintages back to 1998, 51% Pinot Noir, 38% Chardonnay, 11% Meunier, base vintage 2014, bottled spring 2021. Very open and accessible for such a young Grande Cuvée, lovely fruit and floral notes, firm palate with great minerally energy, light on its feet but intense, rich silky texture with energetic bitters, hint of vanilla pod, salty finish, very good resonance and length.

The style and quality of a very good Chassagne-Montrachet Premier Cru except on the finish, where it is a little more blunt. Mild reduction and deep minerality on the nose, complex and ripe citrus and a hint of orchard fruit, delicate top quality oak; energetic and fresh palate, silky and creamy, cool minerality, perfectly harmonious, perfect balance and good weight; long and complete finish with hints of earth and savoury oak.

Elegant and fresh, lovely ripeness of fruit, light and floral (roses), rounded and supple, very mild tannins, good resonance and length. Very attractive, for drinking young.

Much deeper pitch than the Volnay 2019 which accompanied it, black cherries, warm Asian spices and flowers, open and aromatic nose; medium body on the palate, good flavour intensity, savoury notes from the oak; very good resonance and length. Impressive.
