Short decant. Divided the party but I always love this. Great texture, oak so well integrated you have to think about it as DSAMUEL says, great match with mushroom risotto.

2019 Conti Costanti Rosso di Montalcino
Many of the party guessed South African Malbec, which probably says more about them than it does about the wine. Fuller-bodied than I expected, nice red fruit-led nose, grippy tannins. Good.

2015 Cascina Luisin Barbaresco Asili
Chosen for Ian because of his Piedmont trip. Really liked this. Somehow sweeter-fruited and plusher in body than the 2019 Conti Costanti Rosso di Montalcino which preceded this. All seemed to enjoy. Certainly didn't find it astringent and tannic as some other TNs here suggest. VG with the spiced lamb.
