Nothing crazy, nice tropical fruit, straight forward

Middle of the right, lighter West Coast IPA, did well with food, refreshing

Cherry, cranberry, nice red fruit. Light and bright. Delicious.

By the bottle at Cavallo Point. An interesting blend that’s hard to pin down but full of complexity. Tobacco, chocolate, black pepper, black raspberry kinda brambly and earthy. Delicious. Plenty of life ahead Now-2030?+

Nose/Floral - cinnamon and oak
Sweet - maple and vanilla
Nutty - some almond
Spicy - med cinnamon
Earthy - mild white pepper
Smoky - no
Woody - rich but not funky cedar
Fruit - all orange. Hallmark of BT wheated for me. Apple and peach
Color - dark gold
Palate - sauve and smooth. Oak and spice up front
Finish - same. Persistent but doesn’t linger forever. Still quite pleasant
Value - decent price by the pour
Overall - fantastic as always. Maybe lacking a touch in the powerhouse aromatics department but makes up for it in elegance. Middle of the pack for ORVW.

Beautiful, deep dark blueberry, showing more earth and depth than the barrel sample. Cassis. Blackberry. Does strike me more as hillside fruit. Aromatically incredible with violet and rose jumping out. Gorgoeus. Approachable now but would be best 2030-2040+

Similar notes to the 2018 but less earth and violet and a touch more red fruit. Tannins are there for sure but they’re not chalky. Delicous. Fun to tastes Harlan from the barrel.

Winery Tasting - Tobacco, cassis, blueberries, violets, graphite and grilling herbs. Solid, strong preference for the Panek. 2025-2030+

Stone, orchard fruit, pear and honey

More earth than the Summa, floral, darker fruit, lavender, licorice and violet. Qualitatively maybe better, but profile preference for the brighter fresher fruit in the Summa personally

Cherry forward, bright, raspberry, touch of earth but not nearly as much as the B Thieriot, nice acid. Love the fruit profile here and my preferred Pinot today

Still a touch tannic for sure and youthful. Tight but still delicious, black raspberry and blackberry notes. Needs time. 2027-2035+

Sample 2 - nose is a little lighter, comes across as more of a dusty touch. Thinner mouthfeel. Still nice light caramel.

Sample 4 - more modern nose, unsure on mashbill. Palate wise seems older and a little flat. Shorter finish. Wasn't exactly wowed

Just nice light dusty caramel. Smooth and easy drinking, but nothing pre fire crazy. From a glass flask sized bottle

Vintage unclear - 1970's ish sample from Pimm. Supposedly National Distillers. Liked this pour better than others I've had. More classic dusty notes without the funk. May have to try some others and give ND another chance.

No specific notes, pretty middle of the road pick. Solid, but not quite the aromatic lifts I remember from some of the Maison Corbeaux picks etc. Sill nice

Still really solid, not as overly hoppy as I remember in years past. It also seems the competition has caught up to some degree because it comes across as just a good solid DIPA these days rather than something that just blows the doors off

Still delightful, excellent on draft. Similar to Pliny it's still as staple but I remember it being more mind bending in the past

Okay this may be a new favorite. Although it's clearly a departure this is a terrific HAZY IPA from RR Brewing that I really dig. Classic NEIPA citrus and tropical fruit/pineapple. Shocker. It's amazing. Nelson & Strata

It's delicious, but nothing crazy memorable or a home run. Same complain for a lot of the Grimm single hop expressions is they become one note and kind of miss some complexity and depth. Kinda of classic West Coast IPA
