Introduction
Mikhail was in town, so Jared and I joined him at Salil's, who made another delicious dinner. All wines were pop and pour.

2005 Vollenweider Wolfer Goldgrube Riesling Kabinett

Pale yellow-gold color. Bright nose of tropical fruit. Medium body. In the mouth, bright peaches and citrus with a hint of sweetness in the finish. At its peak.
Flight 2 - Dinner (3 notes)
Salil's Chicken Biryani and Lamb Kebobs. So tasty!

Deep gold color. Mature nose of honey and dried apricots. Long, complex finish. Holding up brilliantly.

Dark amber color. Lovely botrytis and sweet dried apricot nose. Complex aged dried apricots in the mouth with some oxidation. Past its prime, but still alive. My last bottle. :(

Perhaps the worst nose I've ever smelled of a wine that wasn't obviously flawed. Not as horrible in the mouth, but why torture oneself?
