Recently had an Arleys leap that was disgustingly afflicted as well. However, that never blew off.

What is the deal with this sulfur or mercaptan phenomenon?

The science is beyond me, but I will say that there is a distinctive Cameron funk that does tend to blow off, but has been in every bottle of their pinot that I've had. I love their wines, so the wait doesn't bother me.
